SOLUTE Submits FEMA National Fire Data Proposal
Tuesday, 17 May 2011

(San Diego, CA) SOLUTE recently submitted a strong proposal for Analytic Data Services for the National Fire Data Center that was established under the Federal Emergency Management Act (FEMA). The solicitation under this Request for Quotations (RFQ) covers work for the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) agency. This work focuses on analyzing the National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS), which is the large relational database with coded variable structure that is used to collect data on fire incidents. NFIRS also collects data on the technical components of fires to better understand the national fire problem. SOLUTE's experience in working with large relational databases and extensive experience working with coded data in the Navy's Aviation Safety Awareness Program (ASAP) make the company a solid candidate for meeting the needs of USFA under this Statement of Work.
