(San Diego, CA) Maryann Knapton, a Senior Network Security Engineer at SOLUTE and a fully qualified Navy Validator, recently attended the 2011 Department of Defense (DoD) Information Assurance Symposium in Nashville, Tennessee. The symposium brings together security practitioners from the government and private sector to discuss important policy issues, new technologies, and trends in cyber security. While attending the symposium, Ms. Knapton participated in several key sessions and gathered the latest information on policy changes, risk management, and potential changes to the system certification process. This knowledge and information will benefit SOLUTE in support of its DoD customers and will help Ms. Knapton fulfill her important role for the company as a Navy Validator.
