SOLUTE has provided successful software engineering solutions for several government Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) awards. We have also developed forward-thinking solutions using the latest technology, rigorous security considerations, and creative techniques. Our engineers have specific experience in the design and architecture of DoD's C4I system, including work for various government customers (see below). Our engineers apply Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles to their designs and have architected enterprise solutions conforming to the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF).

Our Performance: A Winning Track Record

Our past performance demonstrates how we researched and developed an innovative solution in the area of Water Space Management (WSM) for the Navy with respect to undersea warfare systems and related software. In this project, SOLUTE conducted an analysis of future capabilities and migration development for the Global Command and Control System - Maritime (GCCS-M) to move toward a SOA environment. We are also engineering software for the Navy using the Google Wave Platform and SOLUTE's technical expertise. In this SBIR, we designed a solution for the Navy Wave Federated Server Architecture, determining feasibility of web-based C2 applications and identifying Navy Wave security requirements. Our work on the Cross Domain Solution (CDS) for Airborne Operations SBIR for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) involved a feasibility study and initial concept design in Phase I of the award; this included automated data sanitization and information distribution. In Phase II of this SBIR, SOLUTE is developing the Multiple Independent Levels of Security (MILS)-based software CDS for a number of Air Force aircraft.
